Music Resume......

Picture
From 1990 to present:
“just me”...a solo act that is primarily a piano man type entertainment using a digital piano and a
Digitec harmonizer to add color to the sound. I have mixed up the sound by playing some guitar in lieu of the piano, and have background music to enable me to throw in a sax song every now and then, but this is primarily a piano-vocal sound. I play the typical piano man music by Billy Joel,  Elton John, and a lot of tunes that I like that I have re-arranged for the piano man sound, including some of my own tunes that I pepper into the mix. I have played in local restaurants-bars, coffee houses, church events, parties (mainly anniversary and 50th birthday type parties).  I also volunteer my talents for soup kitchens, adult homes, and for other good causes etc... I believe in giving back to
the community.

“contract musician type work”:  Recently I  have
done study recording type work as sax fill-ins for the Aviation Blondes
in Pittsburgh, N.Y. for a tune called “Don’t Look Down” (Get Hip Label) and have played with them live, recently at the Hard Rock Café in Pittsburgh.  Previously I played with Gary Dunes and the Deltunes for a New Years Gig as a replacement, and a mini-group of the Nick and
the Nice Guys called “Nick-Lite” out of Rochester, N.Y. for holiday parties.

From around 2006 thru 2010:   I performed in both the “CSB Band” later
changed to “Critical Path”. This is a corporate assembled band to compete in a
yearly fund raiser for the Red Cross called  “Rock’n the Red Cross”. Held at the
Landmark Theatre each year 10 to 14 locally sponsored bands compete for bragging
rights. Members of the band included Mark Reagan from “Under the Gun” Jon Celi of “Emerald City”, Mike Catalina of Circus and others. During the five years I have played the sax,
keys, and lead vocals.

From around 1970 thru 1974:

“The Ben Franklin Stove Company Band”; This was sort of a Jazz-Pop Group where I played both the Alto and Tenor sax. The band consisted of me as the sax player, a trumpet, rhythm guitar-vocalist, lead guitar-vocalist and a drummer. Our main sound was instrumental supported by some vocals.  We played for parties and were the house band for the “Top Hat” in Fort Herkimer for a couple years.

From around 1968 thru 1974:

I played with the Utica Symphony Band, which was affiliated with the Utica Symphony, conducted by Anthony Melagrano of Clinton, N.Y. I played the Tenor Saxophone. We played in the Utica Parks, including the Zoo during the summer month’s part of the Utica Summer Concert

From around 1968 thru 1970:

While in High School I played in a four piece combo that included me as the sax player, a guitarist, stand up bass, and drum set. Members included Bill Anthony on the bass, Dave Spencer on the drum set, Pete Eramo on the guitar. We did not have a name, but we played for school
dances and such for a modest fee.
